Full Story : The Pregnant Wife's Vindication

The lights of the city sparkled through the floor-to-ceiling windows of the penthouse.

Inside, soft music played.

Wine glasses clinked.

Laughter echoed throughout the luxurious living room.

Everything appeared elegant.

Everything appeared perfect.

But behind the marble kitchen island…

Emily Carter quietly cried.

Eight months pregnant and barefoot, she stood in front of the sink with trembling hands.

Dirty dishes were piled high.

Warm water ran endlessly as she slowly scrubbed another plate.

Her swollen feet ached.

Her back hurt.

And tears rolled silently down her cheeks.

Still…

She forced a smile.

Because tonight, her husband had invited some important guests.

She didn't want to embarrass him.

In the living room, three glamorous women lounged comfortably on the expensive leather sofa.

Dressed in elegant black cocktail dresses, they laughed loudly while sipping red wine.

To them, Emily wasn't the owner of the penthouse.

She was merely entertainment.

“Did you see her face?” one woman giggled.

“She actually thinks she's a good wife.”

Another burst into laughter.

“She should thank us. At least we're teaching her how to serve properly.”

The third woman raised her glass.

“Poor thing. Pregnancy really ruined her.”

More laughter.

None of them noticed the tears running down Emily's face.

At that moment, the front door opened.

Thirty-two-year-old Daniel Carter stepped inside.

After an exhausting business trip, he loosened his tie and smiled, eager to see his wife.

But as he entered the kitchen…

His smile vanished.

Emily stood before him.

Barefoot.

Exhausted.

Crying.

Washing a mountain of dishes.

For several seconds, he couldn't move.

“Emily…”

His voice was barely above a whisper.

His wife quickly wiped her eyes and forced another smile.

“I'm almost done, honey.”

Daniel felt his heart break.

His gaze dropped to her trembling hands.

Then to her swollen ankles.

Then to the tears she desperately tried to hide.

And suddenly—

Something inside him snapped.

For years, Emily had supported him.

She had stood beside him when he had nothing.

She had sacrificed her career.

Her dreams.

Even her health.

And now…

While carrying their child…

She was being treated like a servant.

Then another voice rang through the apartment.

“Emily!”

One of the women sat up on the couch.

“Hurry up with those plates and bring more ice!”

The others laughed.

“Seriously, what takes her so long?”

Daniel slowly turned.

His expression changed.

The warmth disappeared.

His jaw clenched.

His fists tightened.

And his eyes burned with fury.

The three women were still laughing when they noticed him.

Immediately, they smiled sweetly.

“Daniel!”

One of them stood.

“We were just—”

“Enough!”

His voice exploded across the penthouse.

The room fell silent.

Even the music seemed to stop.

The women froze.

Their smiles disappeared instantly.

Daniel pointed toward the front door.

His entire body trembled with rage.

“Out.”

Nobody moved.

“Daniel, we're your friends—”

“I said…”

His voice was terrifying.

“OUT OF MY HOUSE!”

The crystal wine glass slipped from one woman's hand.

Another turned pale.

The third looked as though she had seen a ghost.

None of them had ever seen Daniel angry.

And certainly not like this.

The powerful businessman everyone admired stood before them with murder in his eyes.

Not because of business.

Not because of money.

But because someone had humiliated his wife.

Behind him, Emily slowly turned around.

The plate slipped from her hands into the sink.

Her eyes widened.

Fresh tears rolled down her cheeks.

Not tears of sadness.

Not tears of humiliation.

But tears of relief.

Because after enduring months of silent suffering…

After pretending everything was fine…

After being treated like a maid inside her own home…

Her husband had finally seen the truth.

And as the three women hurried toward the exit in terror…

None of them realized one thing.

The gentle, patient woman they had mocked…

The pregnant woman they had ordered around all evening…

Wasn't weak.

She was the most precious person in Daniel Carter's world.

And anyone who made her cry…

Would never be welcomed in his house again.
