Chapter 5 : The Tipping Point

The plan was a high-wire act of deception. Julian leaked the entirety of Clara’s financial records—her true source of power—to an anonymous server that would trigger a catastrophic regulatory audit the moment he clicked a single button. He didn't just want her arrested; he wanted her legacy dismantled in real-time, in front of the board of directors, during their annual summit.

The morning of the summit, the atmosphere in the house was electric. Clara was distracted, frantic over the shifting market reports that were plummeting her net worth. Julian sat at the breakfast table, drinking black coffee, watching her disintegrate with clinical detachment.

"Something is wrong," she muttered, her phone vibrating incessantly. "My accounts—they’re being frozen. Julian, what have you done?"

"I’ve done nothing," he said, his voice cold. "I’m just watching the consequences of your discipline."

Suddenly, the front door burst open. It wasn't the police; it was the people Clara had wronged, a coalition of rivals she had spent years keeping in check through blackmail. The guards, seeing their payroll vanish in the digital collapse, stepped aside. The "silent contract" had been voided by the sheer weight of reality. Clara stood in the center of the foyer, her world imploding as the very people she had manipulated stormed the house.
