Part 2: "The paramedic didn't just save a girl. She dismantled a titan."

Part 2: The Aftermath

The silence on the lawn was absolute, broken only by the frantic, ragged intake of breath from the girl on the grass and the hum of the ambulance siren approaching in the distance. Tyler’s hand was still extended, his face a mask of cold, calculated fury that didn’t belong on a man of his standing. He looked down at his victim, not with remorse, but with a terrifying, hollow impatience that suggested this was merely a temporary inconvenience.

"Get up," Tyler hissed, his eyes flicking toward the house, where the other witnesses stood frozen, their mouths agape in shock. They were trapped in the golden light of the setting sun, terrified of the man they had trusted. He turned back to the paramedic, his voice a razor blade. "I told you, I’m on the board. Do your job and stop wasting time."

The paramedic, a woman with steel in her eyes, didn’t flinch. She placed a firm, protective hand on the girl’s shoulder, anchoring her to the ground. "Sir, step back," she commanded, her voice calm and absolute, cutting through the evening air. "You are interfering with medical treatment. If you do not move, I will call for police backup immediately. This scene is now under my authority."

For a heartbeat, the world seemed to hold its breath. Tyler’s face contorted, his ego wrestling with the reality of the situation. He looked at the girl, who was trembling, clutching the paramedic’s sleeve as if it were a lifeline. She was broken, but she was finally being heard. The power dynamic, so carefully constructed within those mansion walls, was shifting, grain by grain, into something far more dangerous for him.

"You have no idea what you’re dealing with," Tyler muttered, but the bravado was leaking out of him. He retreated a step, then two, his eyes tracking the paramedic’s movements. He wasn’t looking at the girl anymore; he was calculating the cost of this moment. His reputation, his influence, his entire world was crumbling because of a single, desperate, and very public fall. He was no longer the hunter; he was cornered.

The ambulance lights pulsed, casting long, rhythmic shadows across the perfectly manicured lawn. The girl finally spoke, a whisper so soft it was almost lost, but in the oppressive quiet, it rang like a thunderclap. "He didn't just push me," she murmured, eyes locked on the paramedic’s face. "He’s been planning this for months. He thought no one would ever know, because he’s 'the board'."

Tyler recoiled as if struck, his face draining of color. The other observers on the balcony shifted, their expressions turning from shock to realization. The facade was gone. The paramedic signaled to her partner, who was already approaching with a stretcher. "We’re going to get you out of here," she said, her voice gentle, reassuring. "You’re safe now. You’re away from him. We have the truth on record."
