Chapter 5: The Glass Fortress

Chapter 5: The Glass Fortress
The mansion had become a gilded cage of a different kind—a bunker. The security team, once loyal only to Arthur, now answered to Eleanor. The atmosphere was thick with the scent of ozone and impending lightning. Arthur was outside the gates, flanked by his legal team, shouting into cameras, demanding entry to 'reclaim his property.'

The dramatic tension reached a breaking point when Arthur managed to infiltrate the side entrance, bypassing the security protocols. He burst into the grand hall, his suit disheveled, his eyes wild with the frantic energy of a man whose world was dissolving.
"You think you’ve won?" Arthur shrieked, pointing at the laptop on the table. "I built this empire! I am this legacy! Without me, you are all nothing—bankrupt, forgotten, and alone!"

Clara stepped forward, not shielding herself, but standing tall. She felt the weight of the last three years—the tears, the isolation, the stolen identity—coalesce into a singular point of strength. "You didn't build an empire, Arthur. You built a graveyard," she said, her voice echoing in the vast, cold hall. "And the only thing you have left is the noise you’re making."
She tapped a key on the laptop, and on the large screen mounted in the hall, the contents of the 'Inventory of Ruin' began to scroll. The list of names, the evidence of his coercion, the dates and times of his betrayals—it was all there, ready to be sent to every major news outlet in the country. Arthur’s face went white. The color drained from him, leaving him looking smaller, older, and profoundly insignificant.
