Emily stared at the documents.
"What are they?"
"Transfer agreements."
"Of what?"
"Everything."
Her father's companies.
Her inheritance.
Her voting rights.
The empire Abraham Yates had quietly placed in her name.
Brandon crouched beside her.
"You sign, and this ends."
Emily laughed bitterly.
"You drugged me. Chained me. Humiliated me."
His expression hardened.
"You've always been difficult."
Emily stared into his eyes.
Then she spat on his shoes.
