Chapter 7 - THE SILVER BRACELET Emily remembered her father's gift.

A simple silver bracelet.
Months earlier, Abraham had fastened it around her wrist.
Beneath the clasp was a tiny emergency mechanism.
"Two presses," he had told her.
"Then say my name."
She had laughed at his paranoia.
Now she reached for the bracelet.
Her fingers trembled.
Once.
Twice.
She brought it close to her lips.
"Dad..."
Nothing happened.
Emily nearly cried.
Then she remembered.
"Help me."
Somewhere across Springfield, a phone vibrated.

Abraham Yates opened his eyes.
And listened.
