Chapter 5: The Unbroken Horizon

Back in the city, the evening sky was painted in brilliant strokes of amber, violet, and deep rose.

Sarah stood on the expansive balcony of her new apartment—a modest, beautiful place with wide windows and a balcony full of blooming jasmine. She held a warm glass of tea, watching the city lights flicker to life below.

Her phone chimed on the table beside her. It was a text message from Victor: Reminder: Tomorrow at 9 AM, we ring the opening bell at the stock exchange to celebrate our company's full recovery and ethical certification. Don't be late, Director.

Sarah smiled, a deep, resonant warmth spreading through her chest. She replied simply: I wouldn't miss it for the world.

She looked down at her hands—hands that had once trembled beneath a shattered glass table, paralyzed by fear. Now, those same hands were steady, capable, and strong. They had held the evidence that brought down a tyrant, and they were currently helping shape a fairer, more honest corporate world.

The nightmare was a distant, fading shadow. Stepping back inside, she locked her front door securely, knowing that the locks were hers, the home was hers, and the future was entirely wide open.
