Victor looked at him.
“You were never the enemy.”
Daniel lowered his weapon.
“You still destroyed innocent lives.”
“Yes.”
Victor nodded.
“And now I have to answer for it.”
Outside, sirens approached.
Victor had called them.
He surrendered.
As he was taken away, he looked at Ethan.
“Your mother saved you.”
Ethan shook his head.
“No.”
