Chapter 12 - THE VAULTThe hidden evidence was beneath an abandoned vineyard.

Inside a concrete chamber were dozens of boxes.
Corporate ledgers.
Original contracts.
Private recordings.
Photographs.
Names.
Dates.
Payments.
The evidence was devastating.
Eleanor hadn't simply committed fraud.
She had manipulated entire corporations.
She had ruined competitors.
She had paid officials.
She had destroyed whistleblowers.
But one file disturbed Victoria most.
It concerned Mia.
Years earlier, Eleanor had attempted to have Mia declared mentally unstable.
The purpose was simple.
If Mia ever challenged Eleanor's authority, she could be declared legally incompetent.
Victoria closed the file.
“She planned this for years.”
Claire nodded.
“I couldn't stop her.”
“You tried.”
“I failed.”
Victoria looked at her mother.
“No.”
She took her hand.
“You survived.”
Claire began crying.
For the first time, Victoria allowed herself to cry too.
Not as a billionaire.
May you like
Not as a corporate warrior.
Just as a daughter who had finally found her mother.
