Equipped with the information from Chloe, Ethan and Liam worked alongside an elite team of forensic accountants through the night. They uncovered a massive web of offshore accounts controlled directly by Victoria Vance, proving that she had systematically manufactured fake debt documents to seize charitable properties across the state.
However, Victoria was one step ahead. Recognizing that the truth was closing in on her, she filed an emergency petition to freeze the Hope Foundation’s community center—a building that currently housed fifty homeless families and a pediatric clinic.
The court hearing was held in a packed courtroom in downtown Manhattan. News cameras lined the marble corridors outside, and the public gallery was filled with onlookers and reporters eager to witness the fate of the Montgomery family.
Victoria stood before the judge, immaculate and confident. "Your Honor, the evidence clearly shows that the land upon which the Hope Foundation operates was acquired using tainted funds. We request an immediate eviction order to protect the interests of the rightful creditors."
The judge looked grim as he reviewed the files. "Mr. Montgomery, how do you respond to these documents?"
Ethan stood up calmly from the defense table. Alongside him, Liam handed a thick blue binder to the bailiff to present to the bench.
"Your Honor," Ethan began, his commanding voice echoing across the silent courtroom. "The documents presented by counsel are not only fraudulent, but they are part of an ongoing criminal enterprise led by Ms. Vance herself. We have submitted sworn affidavits from federal forensic investigators, along with corporate audit trails, proving that Ms. Vance forged land titles to strip charitable assets for personal gain."
Victoria’s calm demeanor cracked. "This is absurd! These are baseless accusations from a desperate man!"
"They are not baseless," Liam spoke up, stepping forward with total composure. "I personally managed the asset transfer of that land two years ago. Every document Ms. Vance submitted bears a signature from a shell company that was created three weeks after Chloe Vance’s arrest. Ms. Vance created them herself."
The judge reviewed the new filings, his eyebrows raising in shock. He banged his gavel forcefully. "In light of this evidence, the eviction order is denied. Furthermore, I am ordering an immediate federal freeze on all assets belonging to Vance Enterprises, pending a full criminal investigation!"
