Victor stared at it for several seconds.
Then he called every private contact he had.
No one could locate his brother.
Detective Quinn traced a burner phone.
A warehouse.
Police entered before sunset.
They found Rosa alive.
Bruised.
Terrified.
But alive.
She told them everything.
Serena had hired her.
Warren had created false medical reports.
Damien had helped arrange the kidnapping.
But there was another name.
August Montigue.
Serena's father.
Victor stared.
“Why would a banker care about my son?”
Rosa answered quietly.
“Because Ethan's trust isn't just money.”
She explained that the Blackwood family had hidden assets inside a charitable foundation.
The foundation had been used to move millions through shell companies.
If Ethan inherited the trust, Victor would gain access to records that could expose the entire operation.
Serena didn't simply want to marry Victor.
She wanted control of Ethan.
And August wanted control of the money.
Rosa then revealed something else.
“Amelia found them.”
Victor stopped breathing.
Amelia.
His dead wife.
“She discovered the foundation transfers before she died.”
“Did she know Serena?”
Rosa nodded.
“She confronted her.”
Victor closed his eyes.
For two years, he had believed Amelia's death was an accident.
