Chapter 10 - THE SHADOW OF THE PAST Months passed.
The estate slowly changed.
The cold atmosphere disappeared.
Maya's laughter filled the halls.
Arthur began spending more time with his granddaughter.
Elena planted flowers near the east garden.
For the first time, the mansion looked less like a monument to wealth and more like a home.
But Elena couldn't completely forget Victoria's final words.
"This isn't over."
One afternoon, Elena found an envelope beneath the front door.
No return address.
Her stomach tightened.
Inside was a single sheet of paper.
Three words.
YOU DON'T KNOW EVERYTHING.
Elena stared at it.
Arthur immediately called security.
The family gathered in the study.
Arthur read the message twice.
His expression changed.
"What is it?"
Elena asked.
Arthur looked toward the window.
"I don't know."
And that frightened him.
