Isabella stared at the photograph.
A young man with her father's eyes.
"Where is he?"
Daniel didn't know.
But the ledger contained another clue.
An account under Adrian's name.
Active.
Updated recently.
Someone was alive.
Someone who knew the truth.
Mateo traced the account.
The trail led to Chicago.
Isabella insisted on going.
Mateo disagreed.
"It could be a trap."
"So was my entire life."
He looked at her.
She refused to back down.
Finally, he agreed.
They flew west.
In Chicago, they found an abandoned theater.
Inside, a man waited.
Tall.
Dark-haired.
Scar across his cheek.
When Isabella entered, he stared at her.
"You have Katerina's eyes."
She stopped breathing.
"Adrian?"
He nodded.
For a moment, neither spoke.
Then Adrian walked forward.
He hugged her.
Isabella broke down.
She had spent twenty years believing she was alone.
Now she had a brother.
But Adrian's embrace lasted only seconds.
Then he stepped back.
"You shouldn't have come."
"Why?"
"Because Silas knows where I am."
A gunshot came from outside.
