Chapter 19 - Shadows in the SunThree years later.

The sunny beaches of Miami stretched out endlessly under a clear blue sky.

A small, private coastal villa sat nestled among coconut palms, far away from the chaotic noise of corporate boardrooms and financial news networks.

On the soft white sand near the gentle surf, four-year-old Tommy was running joyfully, chasing a sea gull with a toy plane, his cheerful laughter echoing across the warm breeze.

Mia sat on a lounge chair under a striped umbrella, wearing a wide-brimmed straw hat and a simple sundress, reading a book.

Victor stepped out from the villa terrace, holding two cold glasses of fresh lemonade. He had traded his sharp tuxedos for a comfortable linen shirt and shorts, looking relaxed, happy, and completely at peace.

He handed a glass to Mia, sitting down on the edge of her lounge chair.

"What are you reading?" he asked softly, sliding his arm around her shoulders.

Mia looked up, smiling as she set her book down. "Just reviewing the foundation's annual scholarship report. We just funded fifty thousand college grants for underprivileged children this morning."

Victor smiled, leaning down to press a soft, tender kiss against her lips. "You never stop changing the world, do you?"

"Only when I'm busy loving my family," Mia replied gently, wrapping her arms around his neck and kissing him back with deep, timeless passion.
