The applause that followed was slow at first, then built into a standing ovation.
As Richard stepped down from the stage, he was approached by reporters, investors, and foreign dignitaries, all eager to shake the hand of the man who had brought down the legendary Harrison Group.
Richard politely shook a few hands, excused himself, and walked out the side doors into the quiet night air of West 36th Street.
Elias was waiting beside the Maybach, holding open the rear door.
