Chapter 17 - Fall of the MatriarchThe trial of The State of Arizona v. Melissa Harrington et al. lasted less than two weeks.

With the secondary cloud footage, the telemetry sensor logs, the wiretaps, and Brooklyn's confession, the jury deliberated for less than ninety minutes.
"On count one, aggravated domestic assault conspiracy: Guilty." "On count two, insurance fraud: Guilty." "On count three, corporate arson solicitation: Guilty."
When the foreperson read the final verdict, Melissa Harrington slumped in her chair, her legendary composure completely shattered. Callan stared blankly at the defense table, realizing his youth and wealth were officially over.
The judge didn't hold back.
"Melissa Harrington, you operated your business with a sociopathic disregard for human life and the law," Judge Thorne stated coldly. "You are sentenced to twenty-five years in state prison without the possibility of parole."
"Callan Harrington, for stalking, perjury, and assault, you are sentenced to twelve years at the Lewis Correctional Complex."
