Chapter 16 - Fall of the Syndicate"You... you monster," Alexander gasped, backing his chair away. "You let me think I was winning!"
"I let you reveal your entire network," Julian corrected, stepping closer. "As of thirty seconds ago, the Swiss Federal Police, Interpol, and the FBI are raiding twenty-four safehouses belonging to the Apex Syndicate across six countries. Your money is gone. Your reputation is gone. Your syndicate is dead."
Alexander’s face twisted in ultimate, desperate fury. "If I go down... I take you with me!"
With a sudden, violent movement, Alexander pulled a hidden remote from under his desk and smashed the big red button!
BOOM!
Explosions rocked the lower foundation of the stone castle! The floor tilted wildly as structural beams snapped. Alexander had rigged his own fortress with demolition charges to collapse into the snowy ravine below!
Glass shattered as the massive floor-to-ceiling windows blew outward into the freezing blizzard. The mountain air howled through the room, carrying snow and fire.
"Julian!" Maria screamed as the ceiling began to cave in.

Alexander lunged forward, tackling Julian toward the shattered glass window! The two brothers tumbled out onto the narrow, snow-covered stone ledge hanging over a two-thousand-foot drop into the icy abyss.
"If I die, brother, you bleed with me!" Alexander screamed, his fingers clawing at Julian’s throat as snow whipped around them like a vortex of white death.
