Chapter 11 - The Railway StationAt midnight, the abandoned station was covered in fog.

Sofia and Leonardo arrived with hidden police surveillance.
But Victor had anticipated them.
The lights came on.
Hundreds of photographs hung from the ceiling.
Every photograph showed the Valenti family.
Sofia whispered:
“He's been watching us.”
A figure appeared.
Victor Kane.
But he wasn't alone.
Helena stood beside him.
She had escaped custody.
Leonardo stepped forward.
“Mother.”
Helena smiled.
“You finally remember.”
Victor held the ledger.
Sofia's eyes locked onto it.
“Give it to me.”
Victor laughed.
“You think this is about money?”
“No.”
“This is about inheritance.”
Leonardo frowned.
“What inheritance?”
Victor looked at him.
“Your grandfather left everything to Gabriel.”
Leonardo stared.
“That's impossible.”
“Your father changed the will.”
Helena interrupted.
“And that's why he had to die.”
Gabriel appeared behind Sofia.
“You're lying.”
Helena turned.
“You were always the sentimental one.”
Then Victor revealed the final secret.
Gabriel wasn't Leonardo's brother.
He was his half-brother.
Leonardo's father had another son.
Sofia watched the brothers stare at each other.
“You knew?” Leonardo asked.
Gabriel shook his head.
“No.”
Helena smiled.
“You were never supposed to meet.”
Suddenly, police lights flooded the station.
Victor grabbed Helena.
They ran.
But Sofia didn't follow.
She looked at the ledger.
It had been dropped.
She picked it up.
And opened the first page.
Her father's name was written there.
Under it was a payment.
A payment made twenty-four hours before his death.
