The wedding took place in a restored stone chapel situated on a hilltop overlooking the Hudson River. The afternoon sun shone brightly through floral arches of white roses, eucalyptus, and gold ribbons.

Guests filled the pews—not underworld bosses or stoic enforcers, but community leaders, charity directors, local residents, and legitimate business partners who had come to respect Dominic’s new vision.

I stood near the altar as Dominic’s best man, watching him stand straight and proud in a bespoke navy tuxedo. His composure was rock-solid, but as the brass doors at the back of the chapel opened, his breath caught in his throat.

Harper walked down the aisle first, wearing a adorable white dress with a flower crown, delicately dropping pink rose petals onto the carpet with a serious, focused expression that made the guests smile warmly.

She was radiant beyond words. Her gown was a masterpiece of delicate lace and flowing ivory satin, trailing gracefully behind her. As her eyes met Dominic’s, tears of joy welled in both of their eyes.
