Chapter 11 - The Fall of the TitanThe silence in the executive boardroom was absolute. You could have heard a pin drop on the thick wool carpet.

Richard Sterling stood frozen, his mouth half-open, his hand still hovering over the mahogany table. The color had completely vanished from his cheeks, leaving him looking like a fragile old man rather than the untouchable financial titan he had pretended to be for decades.

"This... this is absurd," Richard stammered, his voice cracking slightly as the federal agents stepped closer. "I am a founding board member! You can't just—"

"Federal warrants signed by Judge Harrison don't care about your tenure, Richard," Adrian said, his voice flat and devoid of any mercy. He didn't even bother to stand up. He simply watched as the agents placed cold steel handcuffs around the older man's wrists.

"You'll regret this, Adrian!" Richard snarled, his mask of gentlemanly charm finally shedding to reveal a desperate, cornered animal as the agents hauled him toward the exit. "The board will tear you apart! Without me, your shipping contracts in the Pacific will collapse within a week! You're destroying your own empire!"

"My empire," Adrian replied coldly, "was built on loyalty and law. You built yours on embezzlement and backroom deals. Enjoy your new accommodations."

As the heavy boardroom doors clicked shut behind Richard and the federal agents, the remaining ten board members sat in stunned, terrified silence. Not a single person dared to look Adrian in the eye. They suddenly realized that the young CEO hadn't just consolidated his power—he had executed a masterclass in total annihilation.

Adrian turned his head slowly, looking at Isabella, who sat beside him with absolute, unshakable poise.

"Proceed with the Q3 asset projections, Ms. Moore," Adrian instructed smoothly.

Isabella nodded. She tapped her screen, casting the actual, uncorrupted financial statements onto the smart-glass wall. For the next forty minutes, she walked the terrified board members through equity growth metrics, risk-mitigation strategies, and debt restructuring plans with the precision of a seasoned Wall Street veteran.

When the meeting concluded, the board members scrambled out of the room like rats fleeing a sinking ship, muttering hurried goodbyes to Adrian and casting fearful, respectful glances at Isabella.
