Eleanor's legal attack was enormous.
Custody filings.
Financial audits.
Defamation claims.
Requests for inspections.
Every document had the same purpose:
Break Claire.
Marcus arrived with coffee.
"Eleanor doesn't need to win."
Claire looked at him.
"What?"
"She only needs to make you tired enough to surrender."
Claire's hands trembled.
"I won't let her take Lily."
Marcus reached for her hand.
"She won't."
Then Vanessa rushed in.
Her face was pale.
"You need to see this."

The article accused Claire of stealing donations.
Parents began calling.
Some threatened to withdraw their children.
Claire stared at the screen.
Eleanor wasn't attacking the building.
She was attacking Claire's credibility.
And she was doing it where no judge's gavel could protect her.
